Not just another parenting blog 
Hello, I'm Courtney, author of Wimbledon Mummy. I am mum to two gorgeous children, living in London. You're probably wondering whether this is another parenting blog. As expected, you will find parenting advice, ideas & stories (both written by myself and guest bloggers) but what sets me apart from other parenting blogs is that I also love cooking and eating, fitness, travelling and beauty & fashion and you will find all of these topics on my blog. In addition, you'll find product and restaurant reviews, how to's and lots of pretty photos. There is also a local section on Wimbledon Life for anyone who lives in or near Wimbledon or is planning a visit!
Like many parents, after having worked for many years, I gave up my job (at least temporarily) to bring up my children. It was a difficult decision, but it is hands down one of the best ones I have ever made. It is very important to me to give my kids the freedom of a countryside childhood whilst still maintaining some of my former city lifestyle and sense of self. As a parent it's so easy to lose a part of yourself as your children naturally take priority. But I've finally realised that you can still do the things you love whilst also being a great parent and that's what Wimbledon Mummy is all about! 
The Wimbledon Connection 
If you don't now anything about Wimbledon, I'll tell you this: it's an extraordinary place where the city and countryside collide. Best known for the Wimbledon Tennis Championships, it is the last stop on the District Line and is part of Greater London. From Wimbledon you can be either in the heart of the city or deep in the countryside in under half an hour. It's a place where you might spend Saturday night out for dinner at the Ivy Cafe, followed by cocktails at a chic cocktail bar and on Sunday spend the morning horseback riding in Wimbledon Common before sitting fireside at a country pub with your (or someone else's!) dog under your feet. It's both fashionable and outdoorsy. Trendy yet familiar. It's this dichotomy that I think makes Wimbledon so special! But you don't need to live in Wimbledon to live a Wimbledon kind of life, I'll show you how!
